Rasam - South Indian

Ingredients

Two table spoon tur dal, cooked as above. After cooking, it will be around 0.5 cups, including water. Stir it so that all the dal dissolves in water.
Chopped tomato-Half or one (You can put two tomatoes and avoid Tamarind entirely)
Mustard- 20 grains
Cumin- 10 grains
Butter- Half tea spoon
Curry leaves (You get this in Indian store) or Coriander leaf
Tamarind- Half teaspoon, dissolved in warm water (and remove all solid, after maxing well with hand). The volume should be now 2 cups
Rasam powder- One teaspoon (if you want mild) or two teaspoons (medium spicy)
Salt

Chilli Chicken - South Indian

Ingredients

Chicken – ½ kg, boneless, cut into 1-inch pieces
Onion – 2, medium size, finely sliced
Ginger – ½ inch size, finely chopped and crushed
Garlic – 2 beads, finely chopped and crushed
Tomato – 1, big size, fully ripe, pureed; or alternatively use 1 tblsp of tomato sauce
Green chillies – 3, medium size, medium hot, finely chopped
Capsicum - 1, sliced length-wise
Red chilly powder – 1 tsp
Black pepper powder – ½ tsp
All purpose flour – 2 tblsps
Soya sauce – 3 tsps
Vinegar – 2 tsps
Salt – ½ tsp
Oil – 1 tblsp

Egg Masala - South Indian Recipe

Boiled Eggs                            4 nos
Onion                                       2 nos
Tomato                                     2 nos
Garam Masala pwd                2-3 tspn    (Preferably Everest Meat masala)
Turmeric pwd                          1 tspn
Chilli pwd                                 2 tsp
Bay leaf                                    1
Ginger Garlic paste                3 tspn
Oil                                             1 ½ tb sp
Salt                                           To taste
Coriander chopped                for garnishing
